Julie Fisk Reviews "Sparkle"

DALLAS (CBSDFW) - There are multiple new movies in theaters this weekend including Whitney Houston's final film "Sparkle."

She plays the mother of "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, who gets a chance to show off her acting chops. Watch for Curtis Armstrong who plays a record-company big-wig. Yes, that's Booger from the "Revenge of the Nerds" movies.

Also out is "Celeste & Jesse Forever" starring Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg as a divorced couple who just can't seem to move on. Rashida actually co-wrote the screenplay with Will McCormack, who also has a hilarious role in the film.
