DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Two of the BEST movies of the year are in theaters this week, including Ang Lee's "The Life of Pi." This one is based on the book by Yann Martel and is being compared to "Avatar" due to the ground-breaking computer graphics.

Also out is "Silver Linings Playbook," starring Bradley Cooper. He plays a man struggling with Bipolar Disorder when he meets a kindred spirit, played by Jennifer Lawrence. If you're counting, he is 15 years older than she is but Angelina Jolie backed out of the role at the last minute.

If you would like to, watch the trailers below but first hear what KRLD Film Critic Julie Fisk has to say about "The Life of Pi" and "Silver Linings Playbook."
