Julie Fisk Reviews "J. Edgar"
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Clint Eastwood directs this biopic about the first head of the FBI J. Edgar Hoover and Leonard DiCaprio stars as the embattled J. Edgar from his youth to his death in 1972.
A great deal of make-up is used to age the actors, which works for Leo. However, it makes Naomi Watts look witchy and the gorgeous Armie Hammer look like the elderly dancing man from the Six Flags commercials.
Fans of CSI will enjoy seeing the birth of forensics played out on the big screen.
Believe it or not, Hoover was once laughed at for collecting fingerprints!
