Jones: "We've Got A QB Who's The Best In The Business"
DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones joined 105.3 The Fan for his weekly show and kicked-off the conversation remembering the career of Jay Ratliff, who was cut from the Cowboys this week after sitting out all of the 2013 season due to injury.
When asked how he thought Ratliff's career ended with the Cowboys, Jones said "It was disappointing."

"We have needed him (Jay) for the last two years." said Jones. "He was a perfect fit for what Rod Marinelli and our coaches want to do right now. Knowing Jay, I know how disappointing it is for him."
Now that the Cowboys defense is operating without the thought of Ratliff coming back and with DeMarcus Ware listed as a gametime decision against the Eagles, Jones points to how the defense stepped up against RG3 and the Redskins saying "that group of no-namers were able to put it together and rise to the task."
When pressed about Ware's availability to play against the Eagles, Jones would not give a definite answer, only saying "Nothing about him would surprise me", adding "we want to look at the bigger picture, so we will be conservative, but nothing surprises me - he's Superman."
When he was asked about his predictions for the Cowboys match-up against the Eagles, and presented with a hypothetical situation where Philadelphia would be leading by 4 points with 2:00 left in the 4th, Jones proclaimed his confidence in quarterback Tony Romo saying, "I'm expecting to win it. We've got a quarterback who's the best in the business in the fourth quarter, he can make it happen when it's not there."
