DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Jerry Jones joined Shan and RJ this morning after a Cowboys victory over the Washington Redskins last night.

The win keeps Dallas in the hunt for the NFC East title as they improved to 4-8 on the season. Dallas is now one game back of the division lead with Washington, Philadelphia and New York in a three-way tie for first place at 5-7.

Does Jerry think the Cowboys have a shot at the division crown? "The bottom line is why not? We can go up there (to Green Bay) and (the) defense (can) put together a game like that (like last night against Washington), get a little more confidence in our offense and here we go."

Many of the key players for Dallas last night came from their defense. DeMarcus Lawrence had two sacks, Greg Hardy was making a big impact and Sean Lee was all over the field making tackles.

Jones praised the linebacker's effort as Lee had 13 tackles and sack last night. "Sean has made a habit of having games like that for the Cowboys. When we don't have him, and he's worked his way up this year to be able to have a game and to play like that, we know where his talent level is and (where) his skill level is," said Jones. "Boy, when he came out with that kinda chest injury contusion there, I thought goodness we're not going to have him during this last quarter. Just think of the games over the last two or three years where if we would have had him in the last quarter, had him last year against Green Bay. Big if's, but still...(I'm) just proud to have him on the team, both when he's out there on the field and when he's just there at the preparation of the team to get ready to be on the field. He's so impactful."
