Jones Looking Forward To Speaking With Bryant
IRVING (AP) - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke with embattled receiver Dez Bryant on Thursday, mainly to set up a longer conversation Friday.
Jones took advantage of a change in lockout rules to chat with Bryant for the first time in weeks. The owner said the purpose of the call was "to make sure he was going to come through tomorrow and more than anything meet with our trainers."
Jones said he also told Bryant to save some time for the two to meet while he was at team headquarters.
Bryant is recovering from an ankle injury. He's also made headlines for extensive jewelry purchases that prompted several lawsuits and an incident with a security guard at an upscale mall.
