Jones Disappointed With Cowboys Loss To Bears
DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - It's no shock that the Dallas Cowboys owner thinks the offensive line needs to improve, and that fact was clearly demonstrated in the Cowboys loss to the Chicago Bears Monday night. But when and how is the question.
Asked what can be done to help the offensive line Jones told 105.3 The Fan, "Well, what do you mean by that? We've got one of the best coaches in the country. I think we've got some good players that are improving. That's the best you can do."
But when asked how to fix the offensive line Jones said "Repetition. Repetition on the practice field or in games is the basis of football." And yet Jones does not see any future changes to the line, or "not that I would address or look at today."

When asked if the Cowboys have the right guys on the offensive line Jones responded, "Livings is everything we had hoped he would be, he is a determined football player. Bernadeau is a young player with a lot of natural ability but has a lot of room to improve."
"When I look around the league, I look at our offensive line...and I don't want to say we've got the best offensive line in the league by any stretch, but we've got a line that will get us where we want to go." said Jones.
But the offensive line isn't just the problem, it's the entire Cowboys offense including quarterback Tony Romo who had a total of 5 interceptions against the Bears. Is Jones worried about Romo doing too much? "Some of the things he does we rave about but he knows better than I know what happens when you try to do too much." said Jerry.
"That's one of the reasons i've been so frustrated with having Romo. I think he's capable of being a quarterback that can get us there [Super Bowl] but yet missing the chances we've had to knock on the door, I feel like over the last 6 years we've had the opportunity, a least on two different occasions to be in the Super Bowl."
