Trending: #Johnny Cleveland, #Sing For Nicole Update

#JOHNNYCLEVELAND

Johnny Manziel remains the talk of Twitter after he was chosen as the newest member of the Cleveland Browns.

In fact, Twitter gave Johnny Football a new nickname – Johnny Cleveland.

From draft night and for several days after, there were several trending Manziel-related hashtags, including #Beforemanzielgetsdrafted, poking fun at his long wait in the draft room.

Then there was a lot of talk today about a tweet from the official NFL account and whether it was appropriate. The NFL tweeted "#SadManziel???" right after the Cowboys passed on him with pick 16.

None of that stopped the party for Johnny Manziel, who celebrated his 22 overall pick with some recognizable faces.

Rapper Drake posted this picture to Instagram:

Here's another picture of Manziel partying with former Texas A & M teammate and Tampa Bay Buc draft pick Mike Evans and Odell Beckham Jr, the newest member of the New York Giants:

ESPN says its first-round draft ratings – starring Manziel - were up nearly 50% compared to last year.   Here in North Texas, more than 100,000 viewers (or 1/3 of the total audience) watching coverage on ESPN and NFL Network changed the channel after Manziel was picked.

ONE DIRECTION TWEETS #SINGFORNICOLE

A Plano girl who is trying to honor her deceased teen sister is getting closer to her goal.

Earlier this week, we told you about Kelly Wilson, whose sister, Nicole, died last weekend from complications from diabetes.

Nicole was a huge One Direction fan, and the two sisters had planned to attend their August concert in Dallas.

Kelly sent a tweet to One Direction asking them to #SingforNicole at that show. Pretty soon, the world joined in – and it appears One Direction has heard the message.

Liam Payne, one of the band members, tweeted this message today:
