Gallo is the only Ranger to play in the All-Star Game.

Hunter Pence and Mike Minor made the team but Pence is injured and the Rangers did not want Minor to pitch to keep his innings down.

The Rangers tweeted video Gallo's big hit and said, "All it took was one pitch. #JoeyJack, #AllStarGame edition.

The American League went on to win the game 4-3 and Gallo's homer ended up being the game-winning hit.

Despite that, Cleveland pitcher Shane Bieber was named the MVP of the All-Star Game for striking out the side in the 5th inning.
