Jett Beachum joined the CBS Texas sports team as an anchor, reporter, and producer in December of 2022. Born and raised in Irving, Jett is thrilled to be covering the organizations and programs he grew up watching.

Jett fell in love with sports at an early age and knew he wanted to be a sports anchor in high school. He attended his dream school at the University of Texas at Austin (Hook Em!), volunteering for the student-led campus station while also interning for multiple organizations, including ESPN's Longhorn Network.

After graduating in 2016, Jett spent a year in as a sports producer at KSAT 12 in San Antonio, helping cover the Spurs, Cowboys, college sports and more. Following his dream of becoming a full-fledged anchor, Jett moved to Quincy, IL in 2017 and served as a sports anchor and reporter at KHQA. From there, he made the move to Cedar Rapids, IA, serving as a sports anchor and reporter at Iowa's News Now, covering Iowa and Iowa State Athletics. During his time in Iowa, Jett covered some of the NCAA's best athletes, including multiple Naismith Award winners and first round NFL and NBA draft picks. He also had the opportunity to cover the MLB's Field of Dreams game, which brought Major League Baseball to Eastern Iowa.

Though he misses being on the sidelines and baselines at college sporting events, Jett loves the ever-changing dynamics of the DFW sports scene, which he believes is the best in the nation. When he isn't at work, you can find Jett spending time with his family, which is spread across the Metroplex, working out, finding a new coffee shop, and cheering on his Longhorns, who he hopes one day truly will be back.
