LOS ANGELES (CBS NEWS) - Jessica Simpson is opening up about losing the weight she gained while pregnant with daughter Maxwell Drew. "I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it," she said in an interview with USA Today. "I wanted to be happy and eat what I wanted."

But, she admitted, "I didn't realize it (the weight) didn't all come off with the baby."

"I'm not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel," she added. "I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiance and herself."

Simpson, who welcomed baby Maxwell on May 1, is a celebrity spokeswoman for Weight Watchers and will begin appearing in ads for the program next week. She didn't reveal her starting or current weight, but did share that she's lost weight each week while following the program.

Along with monitoring what she eats, Simpson does about an hour of cardio each day. Mostly walking, she said. "My boobs are way too big to run at this point."
