Jerry Jones Talks About Season Opener Against Giants
DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The 2012 NFL season opener will happen on Wednesday September 5th and it will be historic! It pits the Dallas Cowboys against the defending Super Bowl Champion NY Giants.
It's historic because it will be the first time in team history that the Cowboys have ever played a Wednesday night game - and it will be the first time since 1948 that an NFL game has fallen on a hump-day, all thanks to the Democratic National Convention.
At the NFL owners meeting in Florida, owner/CEO Jerry Jones said "he got chills" when he heard about the game and had some things to say about Giants owner John Mara's comments about playing against the Cowboys on opening night.
