Jerry Jones Says Cowboys Will Monitor Dez, No MRI On Injured Knee Yet

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Dallas Cowboys have yet to have an MRI test on Dez Bryant following his injury in the game vs Chicago on Sunday according to the team owner.
Cowboys owner/General Manager Jerry Jones tells 105.3 The Fan that the Cowboys star wide receiver.
"He hasn't taken an MRI to my knowledge" said Jones. "I'm assuming he's a go," as the team prepares to travel to San Francisco this week.
In other injury news, Jones believes that offensive lineman La'el Collins will not require surgery to fix a toe issue that sidelined him during the Bears game as well.
"Right now, he's less likely to have surgery, it's a pain thing...we'll see how he tolerates it" said Jones. "He has a high tolerance for pain. He'll probably not have surgery and see if he can work through this."
Jones' Tuesday morning update on Collins directly contradicts a Fan source that said on Monday that Collins will be placed on injured reserve, with a possible return late in the season, because of a ligament injury on his right big toe.
A few other star Cowboys players suffering from injuries; Tyron Smith & Orlando Scandrick.
"I hope Tyron is ready to go, we'll just have to see, we thought he would play Sunday and that was a little surprise for us" said Jones. "It was more back spasm than structure" adding "I'm going on the basis he'll play."
As for Scandrick's recent hamstring problems that have kept him from playing, "we'll have to be real careful, you've gotta' nurse those along."
