Jerry Jones Say Cowboys Won't Put Romo On Injured Reserve

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - With the Cowboys wrapping up the NFL preseason with the star quarterback injured, Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones says Romo will not be placed on the injured reserve list.
After trimming the Cowboys roster to 53 players, owner/General Manager Jerry Jones replied "not really" when asked if the team would be placing Tony Romo on IR at the start of the season.
"Medicine can fail you when you start creating these bright lines," said Jones. "These traditional healing times aren't necessarily as 'bright lined' as you might like them to be."
"We'll be real liberal when we start evaluating when it is he'll come back" said Jones.
Even though Romo's diagnosis was completed after the August 25th game when he was injured, he is still being evaluated.
"We don't have anybody valuable enough to take up that lost spot to give us the opportunity to see how he does," said Jones. "There's just not enough value there realistically to bring someone else in. That's the deciding factor. You don't have to spend a lot of time, going over and kind of circumcising a mosquito. There's nobody good enough to take that spot to give you a chance for that 'if' -- if he can come back."
