Jerry Jones on The Fan
Here is what Jerry had to say today on 105.3 The Fan.
ON THE GAME VS TENNESSEE: I like the way that we are playing Tony in that sense of letting him have a better feel for what's going on in the game, and a better input for what's happening in the game that worked and we're going to continue that. That's good stuff.
ON THE SUCCESS OF ROY WILLIAMS IN THE WIN OVER HOUSTON:
I think that might have had a little something to do with Tony making some of those calls, I really do. I think he's very comfortable where people are when he directs it and we've been seeing it in practice all fall. We've been seeing a good rapport there. And the other thing is that what we've got at receiver. We know if Roy can do a good job of getting off of the press, which he did and can, he's a physical guy and he's a big guy and he can catch the ball and he can run. All of that says that he's going to get a lot of opportunities and Tony knows that if he's the one that gives you the best shot, then he's got confidence that he'll catch it.
ON NICKEL LINEBACKER SEAN LEE:
I think there are parts of the nickel packages and the special packages on defense that Sean Lee can do right now. And that's the big thing, right now or later. He's going to be able to do anything you want him to do at linebacker. He's as smart as a whip plus he's very instinctive and he's got a work ethic that's unmatched. All of those things All of those things in my mind will make him a contributor this year and certainly one in the future.
ON THE KICKING SITUATION WITH DAVID BUEHLER:
I'm proud of what Buehler has done and I'm proud of the way he has evolved on the practice field. I hope this pans out for us and I think that it will as we move on into the season.
Once again, Wade said everyone will be back at practice on Wednesday. Off weeks can be really good, especially when you have the longest pre-season of any team in the league.
