Jerry Jones: No Playcaller Change During Bye
IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) -- The offseason decision to give play-calling duties to Bill Callahan was full of drama and communication mishaps. But Jerry Jones was very clear on Tuesday when asked if the responsibility could change hands during the team's upcoming bye week.
"No," said Jones emphatically on 105.3 The Fan's New School with Shan & RJ.

Some have speculated that head coach Jason Garrett, who had called plays for Dallas since joining the staff in 2007, might take back the responsibility currently held by Callahan.
The Cowboys offense gained just 193 yards on Sunday in New Orleans, the team's lowest single-game output since 2008. Leading receiver Dez Bryant was limited to just one catch, which came late in the third-quarter with Dallas already trailing 35-10.
"We need to get him the ball more," said Jones. "I think that's the kind of reasonable things that you can adjust over a two week period."
Jones also believes backup running back Lance Dunbar -- who Jones calls a 'playmaker' -- needs more touches.
Wide receiver Miles Austin will likely return against the Giants in Week 12 from a lingering hamstring injury.
"I don't know that Miles Austin is a good way to say improvement, but we will have him back with a good clean bill of health," said Jones.
And with the same play-caller and a healthy defense, Jones expects improvement.
"If you look at our entire year, you see that we have the potential," said Jones. "It's very like we'll have a great two week period off here, use our bye right, come out and be sharper offensively."
