Jerry Jones Feeling Pressure To Meet Expectations
IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) -- Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has high expectations for his team and believes the team has improved this offseason.
But after missing the playoffs for three consecutive seasons, the pressure is mounting to meet the lofty expectations.
"I don't know if it's extra, but boy do I feel pressure because of the fact that we haven't met our expectations," said Jones on 105.3 The Fan's New School. "These last two years have been arguably -- right there with one other -- the most disappointing years in my career with the Cowboys."

In 2011, the Cowboys missed the playoffs after losing 31-14 to the Giants in New York in the season finale. The team sealed the same fate in losing last season's week 17 game against the Redskins, 28-18.
"We need to make some changes, and we did and have. Now, will they work?" said Jones.
Jones also stated that CB Morris Claiborne and OG Ronald Leary will not miss Sunday's opener with injuries. His diagnosis of DE Anthony Spencer is slightly less optimistic, saying he will likely play to "some limited degree." Jones expects to know more on Tuesday.
When asked if Jason Garrett is a different coach entering his third full-season in charge of the Cowboys, Jones says his head coach has definitely changed.
"You should see changes. You evolve. That's the must factor. You certainly don't think when you're looking at a young coach that you're going to see the same guy five years later. I think that's what you're seeing."
