Cowboys Injury Update From A 'Cat-Nervous' Jerry

FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he's "nervous as a cat" regarding Sunday's divisional-round playoff game against Green Bay. But his nerves are calmed by Dallas' injury situation.
Tyron Smith and Tyrone Crawford are among the banged-up Cowboys expected to start in the game. Jones said he expects cornerback Morris Claiborne to make his return to the field after missing nine weeks with a nasty groin injury. Jones also insists that DeMarcus Lawrence "is really as ready as he's been all season.''
Jones, speaking to "G-Bag Nation'' on 105.3 The Fan, tends to the positive, of course. But he might be on to something in most of these cases.
Tyron has been nursing aches and pains but the All-Pro left tackle is ready to roll. Defensive end Crawford (shoulder) says he could've played two weeks ago. Claiborne will continue to test his health when Dallas commences practicing on Wednesday.
"He's going to have rust because he's been off but some of the things he does, you can't coach," Jones said of Claiborne. "And they're not necessarily from experience, they're just his natural gifts.''
Lawrence has the gifts to be a force at defensive end but his back has been a nagging issue all year; it prevented him from playing in the last four regular-season games. Despite Jones' optimism, sources tell 105.3 The Fan that Lawrence did very little in attempting to practice at the end of last week.
"We just have to see how he holds up,'' said Jones … who we think really should be "nervous as a cat'' about Tank's availability.
