Jerry Jones Donates Land To Razorbacks Foundation

The owner of the Dallas Cowboys is donating about 250 acres of land he purchased for $7.3 million to the Razorbacks Foundation.

Officials with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the foundation won't say how they plan to use the gift by Jerry Jones. The executive director of the foundation, which supports Arkansas Razorback athletics, says officials aren't prepared to comment on the contribution at this time. A representative with the university declined to comment.

Messages seeking comment by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette were left Wednesday with a spokesman for the Cowboys.

The donated property sits mostly west of South Cato Springs Road and Interstate 49. Jones is a North Little Rock native and was captain for the 1964 national championship Razorbacks team.
