Irving Police Searching For Missing 46-Year-Old

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Irving are trying to locate a 46-year-old man who has a diminished mental capacity.

Authorities say James Alan Watts went missing Tuesday from the 1100 block of Hidden Ridge Drive. Watts, who functions at the level of a 13-year-old, also suffers from schizophrenia and requires regular medication.

Investigators say Watts left home saying that he was going for a walk. Police say he may have been or is using public transportation to move about.

Watts is an African American man standing 5' 9" and weighing approximately 240 pounds. He is bald on the top of his head and his hair is graying. When last seen Watts was wearing a gray t-shirt and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information about Watts or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact Irving police or call 911.
