Irving High School Teacher Arrested For Improper Relationship With Student

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) – A high school teacher from Irving has been arrested and placed on administrative leave after a student reported an improper relationship between the two.

Irving Police have charged Kaitlyn Granado with Improper Relationship Between and Educator and Student, a second degree felony. She admitted to police that she kissed a 10th grade male student, who was 15 year old, and allowed him to rub her breasts during April of last year. At the time, Granado was 23-years old.

MacArthur High School's resource officer, Officer Howman, just learned about the relationship and reported it to police almost a year later, on March 17, 2015. The student confirmed the relationship to police.

Irving ISD has placed the teacher on administrative leave, which bans the teacher from interacting with students or setting foot on district property. Police say they don't think Granado had a relationship with any other students, but say the investigation is ongoing.
