Irving Class Teaches Self-Defense To Young Girls

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Irving are offering safety and self-defense classes for young girls. The goal is to teach female grade-school students how to fight back against an attacker. The classes are offered for girls from 6-12 grades.

In addition to teaching them how to physically defend themselves from threats of danger, police officers will also be working to build confidence in the young women, showing them how to assert themselves in a situation and make smart, safe decisions.
