Indiana Woman Vanishes From DFW Airport
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Jeanne Rysiewicz, 26, spent three days in Fort Worth last month.
Her entire family was in North Texas celebrating her older sister's wedding reception.
On September 16, she was with her family at DFW International Airport. The family was getting ready to board their plane home to Indiana, but Jeanne never got on. "We were ready to board the plane and we looked around and Jeanne was still in line, she was like 2 or 3 people behind us," says her father Edward Rysiewicz.
But she never got on the plane. Her mother remembers the following panicked moments, "I got off right away and I couldn't find her anywhere," says Barb Rysiewicz "It's very puzzling to us, it really is."
There have been no calls, no emails and no signs of Jeanne on Facebook. "Nobody has heard a word from her," says Barb "Nobody."
The day after she disappeared a TSA screener found her dead cell phone outside the terminal where she was last seen. Not too far from there, investigators discovered small tracks in the dirt that looked like the wheels of a roller bag. They then found the bag, it belonged to Jeanne.
"It looked to our investigators as if Jeanne had taken the two bags that she had and combined some things into one bag and left the roller bag behind," explains David Magaña with DFW International Airport "There is no indication of foul play. There is no obvious signs of a crime being committed it's very puzzling."
Magaña says there is also video of Jeanne walking out of terminal E Gate 7. Investigators say she was by herself.
Jeanne's family hasn't seen the video and CBS 11's request for a copy has so far been denied.
Her family describes Jeanne as bubbly. She holds down two jobs and is single.
Her family says they have no idea why their daughter would have just disappeared. They say she's never run away, she not on any medication and she doesn't have any mental problems.
They pray she's alright. "We have to believe she's okay. I believe she's okay, we have to. I have a lot of faith in God," says Barb.
Jeanne is 5'5, 115 pounds with light brown hair, blue eyes. She was last seen wearing gray pants, brown shoes and a black zippered hoodie.
If you know anything about Jeanne's whereabouts, the family asks you to call DFW Airport DPS at (972) 973-3210.
