In-N-Out Burger Finally Comes To North Texas
FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - The wait is finally over for burger lovers across North Texas.
The famed In-N-Out Burger opens Wednesday morning in Frisco (2800 Preston Road) and Allen (190 East Stacy Road). The fast food chain has already reached a cult-like popularity on the west coast, and people have been lining up outside of the building for days to be among the restaurant's first customers.
"In-N-Out is not just about the burger. It's about the lifestyle," said Danielle Delnnocentes. "It's a Southern California tradition. I grew up in Southern California, since I was 18 years old. I have missed it. I have waited almost eight years for this opening day, and I am here. And I can't wait."
By the end of the summer, five more In-N-Out Burger locations will open across North Texas – in Arlington, Irving, Fort Worth and Dallas. Spokespeople with In-N-Out Burger said that Texas was the perfect place to expand their business. The company has long-term plans to open new locations all over the state.
Of course, new locations also means new jobs for Texas, both at the restaurants and at a distribution plant the company has built in Dallas. "We pay $10 an hour to start, way above minimum wage," said Carl Van Fleet, In-N-Out Burger's vice president of planning and development. "Part of our commitment we've made to not only take care of our customers, but take care of our associates."
"We've got jobs available still at these two restaurants," added Van Fleet.
