Hundreds Remember Teen Killed In Hit & Run

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) - More than 300 people gathered Monday evening in an open field to remember a Fort Worth teenager hit and killed at a nearby intersection.

Neighbors, classmates, and friends attended the candle-light vigil in honor of 14-year-old Deston Bibbs.

"I thank all of y'all for coming here for my brother.  That's my baby.  That's my baby boy.  That's my only brother. Y'all came here for him," his 16 year old sister Destiny Bibbs told the crowd, as she broke into tears, overwhelmed by the size of the crowd.

An unidentified driver struck Bibbs Thursday evening,  as he was riding his bike.

The driver fled the scene, leaving tire marks on Bibbs' s clothing.

"We are still seeking justice and asking the individual who left the scene  to please turn himself in," said Rev. Kyev Tatum, who has been counseling the family.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a 1000 dollar reward.
