Hostage Situation Underway At Texas Hospital

TOMBALL (CBSDFW.COM) –A distraught man is in a standoff with law enforcement after he entered his son's room at the Tomball Regional Medical Center, according to a clarification by the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
According to officials, the man is inside the hospital room with his son in the critical care unit and is concerned with his son's medical condition.
The man has not made any threats or demands, said Detective Jimmy Harral of the Tomball Police Deparmtent.
There are no hospital employees hostage, according to Harral.
Evacuation has been limited to areas adjacent to the hospital room and not to the entire hospital, sheriff's officials said.
