Horseplay and 'Horse Bleep' at Cowboys OTAs

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - OTAs are technically "voluntary'' in nature but the Cowboys are always proud of their turnout, and Wednesday's media-access day of this week's sessions is no exception.
A healthy quarterback Tony Romo — termed "phenomenal'' by position coach Wade Wilson — is the headliner among participants. Absent on Wednesday: Defensive lineman Jack Crawford (travel issues), rookie tight end Rico Gathers (finishing studies at Baylor), linebacker Rolando McClain (family matter) and guard Ron Leary (desirous of a trade).
Attending but not fully participating were Sean Lee, Demarcus Lawrence, Lance Dunbar, Orlando Scandrick and Dez Bryant, the All-Pro receiver who missed so much of last year and was asked about returning to his 2014 form.
"I'm past that,'' Bryant said. "I'm going to be better than that.''
Bryant engaged in some horseplay with coach Jason Garrett, challenging him to hit the crossbar with a throw and then having to do pushups when Garrett's accurate throw was on-target. Terrance Williams engaged in some "horse bleep'' when they got in a shoving match, causing defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli to break it up by admonishing them.
"Knock that horse (bleep) off,'' Marinelli barked.
