2 suspects arrested after man found stabbed to death in Garland condo
GARLAND – Two people have been arrested and charged in connection to the death of a man who was found in a condominium, according to Garland police.
Officers responded to a call around 1 a.m. Monday reporting the discovery of a body at the condo in the 4500 block of Chaha Road. Upon arrival, they found evidence suggesting foul play.
The man, 53-year-old Johnny Mac Ross Jr., suffered fatal injuries due to a knife wound, according to police.
Police also discovered one of Ross' vehicles was stolen from the residence. Around 1 p.m. Monday, police located the stolen vehicle and when they attempted to stop it, the suspects led them on a brief chase.
After the brief chase, the suspects, 20-year-old Haley Barber and 20-year-old Leo Moore, fled on foot. They were then apprehended by police.
Police said Barber and Moore are the individuals responsible for the death of Ross and evidence indicated that they knew him, but details of their dispute remain under investigation.
Barber and Moore have been charged with capital murder.
