Homers Push Rockies Past Rangers In Preseason
SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Jason Giambi and Ty Wiggington homered and the Colorado Rockies beat the Texas Rangers 11-10 Wednesday night.
Ian Stewart played for the first time since Feb. 26 and went 1 for 2 and Troy Tulowitzki added two more of the Rockies' 22 hits.
Stewart strained a ligament in his left knee when he collided with teammate Carlos Gonzalez.
Chris Davis and Adrian Beltre homered for the Rangers.
Texas starter C.J. Wilson allowed two runs on seven hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out five.
Wilson left with the Rangers leading 9-2 but the Rockies scored nine runs over the final four innings against the Texas bullpen.
Jason Hammel struggled for the Rockies, allowing eight runs -- three earned -- on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
