Highway 360 To Be Shut Down All Weekend
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Starting at 8:00 p.m. Friday night, Highway 360 at Division Street in Arlington is being shut down.
Val Lopez with the Texas Department of Transporation said that drivers will be forced to detour, and that will cause serious backups and delays. "We're closing the main lanes down for most of the weekend because we're going to be demolishing the old Union Pacific railroad bridge," Lopez said.
Once the old bridges are gone, crews can begin to build service roads. In the past, there have been no service roads along that stretch of Highway 360.
The highway will remain closed until 5:00 a.m. Monday morning, unless crews finish early.
