FLOWER MOUND (CBSDFW.COM) - Flower Mound police have arrested three Timber Creek High School students, including the football team's quarterback, for allegedly stealing packages from neighborhood doorsteps.
Police picked up Anthony Millsap, Ulugbek "Bek" Nasirov, and an unnamed 16-year-old from Keller on November 19, at 2:39 p.m. while they were cruising the residential area near Brutin Orand and North Sterling.
They were stopped after a witness reported seeing someone in a sedan driving through the neighborhood picking up packages and throwing empty boxes out of the window.
"A lady driving through the neighborhood witnessed a car stopping, the occupants running up on the porch and gathering packages and running back to the car and then driving down the street and throwing those packages out the window," said Flower Mound Police Captain Richard Brooks.
When officers stopped the car they found three males inside, with a large amount of stolen property. Police say their investigation has led to the recovery of more than 40 stolen items, which were taken from porches in Flower Mound, Southlake, Keller, and Fort Worth.
Milsap was Timber Creek High School's starting quarterback this fall. Both he and Nasirov are facing felony charges.
"Due to the size and number of thefts, we've charged them with engaging in organized criminal activity since it stretches across multiple jurisdictions and multiple victims…so it's very serious," said Brooks.
Millsap and Nasirov were released on November 20, after each posting a $5000 bond.
Police are working to identify the victims and return the stolen items.
