Former High School Band Director Arrested For Child Indecency

MCKINNEY (CBS 11 NEWS) -  An assistant band director at Evans Middle School in McKinney has resigned, after an arrest last month for allegedly exposing himself to a student, while employed at a different school.

Police arrested Hunley on January 29th on a charge of Indecency with a Child – Exposure.

A McKinney ISD spokesperson confirms Hunley resigned the same day.

"We were both surprised and disturbed when we learned of these charges. To date, we have no reports of any inappropriate behavior on Mr Hunley's part while employed at McKinney ISD," wrote Cody Cunningham, the district's chief communications officer, in an e-mail to CBS11.

The district sent letters home Wednesday to parents of students at Evans Middle School (click here to download), where Hunley began working as Assistant Band Director this year. The districts also sent letters home with students at McKinney High School where Hunley worked for three years prior. Hunley also worked at schools in Richardson and Frisco.
