DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) -- Bruce Carter and Henry Melton will once again play prominent roles on defense -- just not with the Dallas Cowboys.
One day after Tampa Bay signed Carter, the Buccaneers have agreed to a one-year deal with the defensive tackle.

The Cowboys declined to pick up a three-year club option this offseason that would have guaranteed Melton $9 million in 2015.
In 16 games, he recorded five sacks and 15 tackles. However, he failed to record a sack in the team's final seven games.
Melton suffered a right knee injury in the regular-season finale at Washington and missed the playoffs.
In 2013, the Grapevine native missed most of the season in Chicago with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
