Hearing On North Texas Hockey Brawl Set For Tonight

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) -The two North Texas high school hockey players involved in a fight on the ice last month will go before the Texas Amateur Hockey Association this evening.

The fight erupted during the final minutes of the Silver Division championship hockey game between Keller Hockey Varsity and Arlington Martin Warrior Varsity.

According to the referees, Arlington player Jeff SoRelle, left the penalty box and skated towards Keller player Travis Hall and then squared off against him at least twice.  Hall's teammate, Braxton Mills, skated over and knocked SoRelle to the ice, causing him to break his jaw.

Texas Amateur Hockey Association High School Section President and Senior Director of Programs for the Dallas Stars Keith Andresen says SoRelle and Mills could be suspended from playing hockey for weeks or possibly years depending on what the board decides.  "The match penalties that were called were for 'an attempt to injure'.  The referees felt that this was not just a fight," says Andresen.

The video of this fight went viral on the Internet, and was seen worldwide.
