Happy Mother's Day From The Sports World
Bryan Altman, CBS Local Sports
With all of the negativity that surrounds not only social media, but also profession athletes from time to time, it was a beautiful day on both accounts as athletes took to Twitter to thank their mothers for being there for them through it all. Let's take a look at some of the messages our favorite athletes and organizations sent to the most important women in their lives on Mother's Day this year.
James Harrison might be one of the most feared linebackers in all of football, but he still has a major soft spot for his mother.
The NHL Playoffs are in full swing, but remembering the hockey moms that got up every morning to take their kids to practice was just as important as any playoff game.
Richard Sherman may talk tough on the field, but it was all love off of it today.
Athletes, actors and everyone in between celebrated their mothers on this day, reminding all of us once more what's really important. So happy Mother's Day everyone, enjoy the sports day and try to spend some quality time with mom while watching all of the awesome action.
