RICHARDSON (CBSDFW.COM) - The bank robber known to North Texas authorities as the 'handsome guy bandit' struck a Compass Bank branch full of customers in Richardson Saturday, nearly shooting a police officer before escaping.

He's dubbed 'handsome' because of the masks he wears. Police say he's linked to more than 6 bank robberies in the DFW area, including Saturday's robbery in the 1400 block of E. Campbell Road.
