'Handsome Guy' Bandit Shoots At Richardson Cop
RICHARDSON (CBSDFW.COM) - The bank robber known to North Texas authorities as the 'handsome guy bandit' struck a Compass Bank branch full of customers in Richardson Saturday, nearly shooting a police officer before escaping.
He's dubbed 'handsome' because of the masks he wears. Police say he's linked to more than 6 bank robberies in the DFW area, including Saturday's robbery in the 1400 block of E. Campbell Road.

Richardson police spokesman Kevin Perlich says a bank employee attempted to stop the man, later identified as 44-year-old Steven Ray Milam.
Milam is facing an attempted capital murder of a police officer charge. Upon leaving the bank he shot at a police officer's squad car. The officer was not injured.
