ARLINGTON (CBS SPORTS) - Impending free agent Josh Hamilton, speaking with reporters after Friday's wild card loss to the Baltimore Orioles, said that there is a 50/50 chance he'll return to the Texas Rangers next season, according to Jon Machota for The Dallas Morning News.

Hamilton's Rangers lost Friday's first-ever American League wild card playoff to the Orioles 5-1. Hamilton was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, a groundout to the pitcher and a grounder that resulted in a double play (but scored a run as well).

While Hamilton might be 50/50 on whether he wants to return to Texas, the Rangers might not feel the same. According to CBS Sports, "The prevailing feeling in the Rangers organization seems to be, 'Thanks for the memories, and we'll see you next year (in another uniform).'"

Hamilton hit .285/.354/.577 with 43 home runs and 128 RBI in 636 plate appearances this season, finishing tied for second in the AL in home runs and alone in second in the AL in RBI.
