Haltom City Elementary School Playground Equipment Burned

HALTOM CITY (CBSDFW.COM) - Materials for a school playground burned to the ground in Haltom City Monday night and investigators are calling the fire "suspicious."
According to officials the call came in around 9:30, outside of West Birdville Elementary School on Layton Avenue.
The flames quickly consumed the playground materials and had begun to inch toward the school building, but firefighters were able to get the blaze under control.
No one was hurt.
Fire Marshals will be out later today to investigate what sparked the flames.
