Guide To The Gexa Energy Pavilion

It's been called many things over its lifetime; the Coca-Cola Starplex, Smirnoff Music Center, the Superpages.com Center, and now, the Gexa Energy Pavilion. No matter what the name is – the location never changes. The outdoor pavilion is located on the grounds of Fair Park east of downtown Dallas.The venue has 7,500 reserved seats (covered) and the lawn is estimated to hold 12,000.

Driving Directions:
From East or West take I30 to the Barry/Munger exit which turns into Fitzhugh. Follow the Superpages.com Center signs.

From North or South take I45 to Martin Luther King exit to Robert Cullem Blvd. Turn right and continue to Fitzhugh. Turn left and follow Superpages.com Center signs.

Public Transportation:

Tickets:

Tickets can be purchased at the East Box Office and hour and a half before each show. The West Box Office is open from 11am-9pm on show days only. They accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Ticketmaster, LiveNation.com, and many other online outlets have tickets as well. You can find the occasional scalper in the parking lot as security does not tend to efficiently run them off.

Parking: Parking is only charged if the price is NOT included in the ticket. Average parking price is $10.00

TIP: Neighborhood residents will offer parking in their yards for $7-$10, but they are not trustworthy.

Seating:

100 Level : Accessible seating is available on Platforms in the back of sections 100 and 102

200 Level : Accessible seating is available on Platforms in front of sections 200 and 205.

TIP: The seats are average size and do not offer much leg room. Floor is concrete and slanted towards the stage. Do not place anything on the ground unless you want it to get wet.

TIP: Restrooms are located at the East and West entrances only.

VIP Boxes are available for a premium (prices varied by show) and offer folding metal chairs to accommodate all ticketholders.

LAWN : Accessible seating is available on Platforms on the front of the lawn behind sections 200 and 205. Individual lawn chairs (with cup holders) are available to rent for $10.00 each (with $3.00 refund at return) and Blanket rentals are available for $15.

Rules: You are not allowed to bring in food, coolers, lawn chairs, umbrellas or cameras. There is a strict "no re-entry" policy. Blankets are permitted in the lawn area only. All shows are rain-or-shine. Children over 2 years of age must have a ticket.

Food: Vendors are located at both of the main entrances and several stands offer a variety of food and beverages including, pizza, pretzels, nachos, hot dogs, various fried foods and soda.  There are walking vendors that offer beer, soda, and water.

Vendor stations are located on the lawn area as well – at the top of the stairs leading to the main lawn area and in the middle of the lawn against the back wall.

TIP: vendors remove the cap (top) off of all water bottles. Bring and extra plastic cap unless you want to hold your beverage the entire time. Average beer price is $12.00 for 24 ounces.  They also offer a limited wine selection (red or white) and liquor can be purchased at the Jack Daniels Club (club pass required)
