On Thanksgiving Day, November 28 at 9 a.m., departing from City Hall Plaza, the Dallas YMCA Annual Turkey Trot runners and walkers will blast off from the start line on their 5K or eight-mile trek to victory in this traditional Dallas race. The race dates back to the 1940s and has been a regular Big D event since the 1960s. Family and friends are welcome to attend to enjoy games, pony rides, music and other family-friendly festivities. Work up an appetite for that evening feast.
