Group Seeks Approval To Use Drones In Search For Missing Woman
PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) -- A volunteer search group is requesting permission from the FAA to use drones in the search for a missing woman in Plano.
The Houston-based group Texas Equusearch joined the search on Tuesday for Christina Morris, 23, of Fort Worth. She was last seen on August 30 at the Shops at Legacy in Plano.
About 70 people scoured the nearby area on foot and on ATVs on Tuesday. They will resume the search on Wednesday morning with the aid of horseback riders, again using Legacy Church in Plano as its command center.
Morris' boyfriend, Hunter Foster, was among those searching on Tuesday.
"I love her, and I hope she comes home," said Foster. "Everybody is looking for her. I hope she comes home."
Morris and Foster lived together.
Christina's mother, Jonni McElroy, says that Foster and her daughter had an argument before she disappeared; however, police say he has been fully cooperative with the investigation.
McElroy is holding out hope that her daughter is still alive.
"I really feel they're going to find her, still. I really know somebody out there who has her, I know there's people out there that have information," said McElroy.
Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Morris is a graduate of Allen High School.
