Green Candidate Not In It To Help Perry
The gubernatorial candidate for the Green Party says she isn't running to help any other candidate on the ballot. There have been a lot of media reports about the Green Party only being on the ballot because Republican's engineered the party's petition drive to help Governor Perry and hurt Bill White. The Green candidate that wants the job of Governor, Deb Shafto, says that certainly isn't her mission. "That a kind of peculiar thing to says because I don't thing there's ever been anyone associated with the Green Party who would want to see Rick Perry get another four years." Shafto says she is all about telling people what the party stands for, that's more than just the environment; it's working for education improvement and taking corporate money out of politics among other things.
