Grand Prairie Shooting Suspects Still Loose
GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Grand Prairie are searching for the people who shot two women at an apartment complex early Friday morning. The incident happened around 4:00 a.m. at the Parkway Villas, located near the 700 block of South Great Southwest Parkway, just south of Interstate-30.
According to police, two suspects knocked on the door of an apartment unit. The two female victims were inside of the apartment unit at the time of the incident. When they answered the door, shots were fired. One woman suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The other victim was hit in the chest and abdomen. Reports from the victims and witnesses indicate that a shotgun was used.
Both victims were transported to Dallas Methodist Hospital and are expected to be okay.
Witnesses said that the two suspects quickly ran away from the scene. They still have not been located. Police are not yet sure about a motive in this case. Anyone with information about this double shooting is urged to contact the Grand Prairie Police Department.
