DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - After a man died on the lobby floor of the Lew Sterrett Justice Center, a Dallas County grand jury will now hear his case.
Medical examiners ruled his death was caused by a combination of drugs, including meth and cocaine, heart disease and stress from the altercation.
"Had they not taken him down and applied physical restraint and pressure, Hutcheson would be alive today," said Hutcheson's family's attorney, Scott Palmer.
Palmer said he expects the grand jury to indict those involved.
"He was not in any danger of dying because of hypertension or his use of drugs. If the grand jury looks at this properly they will indict Dallas County Sheriffs with causing his death." Palmer said.
The family has called for the names of the deputies involved in the incident to be released to the public.
