Gillispie OK With 0-11 Big 12 Record; Likes Effort
LUBBOCK (AP) - Billy Gillispie knew coming in that it might take some time to get Texas Tech back to winning. And it has.
The Red Raiders are 0-11 in Big 12 play so far this season. They haven't won since Dec. 30 against Southeastern Louisiana and are 7-16 overall.
Gillispie says he is OK with the growing pains for his young team. And he has a track record of turning programs around.
He did it at UTEP and Texas A&M, and says it's going to happen at Texas Tech. He's just not sure when.
The Red Raiders will try again for their first conference win when they host Oklahoma on Saturday night.
