Gasoline Prices Rise 2 Cents Across Texas
IRVING, Texas (AP) - Retail gasoline prices continue to rise in Texas, increasing by 2 cents over the last week.
Prices increased across the state by an average of 8 cents the prior week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price per gallon of regular unleaded has reached $3.36. The price is 18 cents less than this time a year ago.
The national average is $3.54.
AAA says drivers in Fort Worth are paying the most in the state at $3.47 per gallon while motorists in San Antonio are paying the least at $3.25.
Analysts expect prices to peak in the coming weeks, but any change depends on seasonal refinery maintenance and disruptions to production or distribution.
It costs a driver in Texas about $47 to fill a standard 14-gallon fuel tank.
