Gas Prices Jump 11 Cents Across Texas
NORTH TEXAS (AP) -- Retail gasoline prices across Texas have jumped 11 cents during spring break travel week.
AAA Texas on Wednesday reported the average price per gallon at the pump has reached $3.70 per gallon.
The association says the nationwide retail price for gasoline rose a nickel, standing at $3.81 a gallon.
The most expensive gasoline statewide was in Dallas and Fort Worth, at an average $3.78 per gallon. Amarillo has the least expensive gasoline this week, costing $3.58 per gallon.
Analysts say higher crude costs, supply concerns and signs of economic recovery have kept pressure on gasoline futures prices.
