Garland Murder Suspect Arrested In Denton County
GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) – Denton County deputies arrested a man in Aubrey Sunday who is suspected of shooting and killing a 36-year-old man at a Garland apartment complex earlier that morning.
Garland Police Department spokesman Joe Harn said police were called to the Hubbard's Ridge Apartments in the 4300 block of Point Blvd. at about 1 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found Jesus Dominguez, 36, shot dead at the scene. Harn said a woman arrived soon after and told police she was in the apartment when Dominguez was shot.
The woman, who was not identified Sunday evening, told officers her estranged husband Mark Miligan came to the apartment, knocked on the door and shot Dominguez when he opened it.
The woman said Milligan then began assaulting her, but she was able to escape.
Milligan fled in a 1996 suburban. Denton County deputies found him 50 miles from the crime scene in Aubrey at 4 a.m. He was arrested without incident, Harn said.
He is currently booked into the Garland Jail, charged with capital murder and aggravated assault. A judge has not set bail.
