Fun & Adventure Within A Short Truck Ride From The Metroplex
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Marcus Spears has a passion for the outdoors, and he wants to share it with you! Join him for big adventures and big North Texas fish and game as he hosts "DFW Outdoorsman," a new hunting and fishing program on CBS 11 and TXA 21.
"It's been a dream of mine to do a show like this," Spears said.
Each week, "DFW Outdoorsman" will take you to the best fishing and hunting destinations within a short drive of DFW. And Spears won't be alone on the water or in the woods. He'll be joined by a celebrity guest each week as they pursue that prize buck or trophy bass!
Spears also hopes that "DFW Outdoorsman" reaches younger viewers who, he believes, would benefit from unplugging their video game consoles and reconnecting with the great Texas outdoors.
"I believe there would be a drastic decrease in all this violence if kids did get outdoors," Spears said.
"DFW Outdoorsman" debuts on Saturday, October 4 at 5:30 a.m. on CBS 11 with encore airings on TXA 21 at 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m.
