Frisco Police Investigating Shooting In Wal-Mart Parking Lot

FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Frisco are still investigating a Monday night shooting, in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart store, that left a 20-year-old man in critical condition.

The shooting happened in the 12000 block of FM-423 at around 5:30 p.m.

Investigators believe a drug deal was the reason the victim and a friend had gone to the parking lot. At some point during the transaction, with two unidentified males, two shots were fired and the victim was hit in the upper torso.

The unidentified males reportedly fled the scene. The friend who went to the location with the victim stayed at the scene.

As it stands, detectives are reviewing store surveillance video.

Anyone with information about the shooting or the suspects is asked to contact the Frisco Police Department through their Criminal Investigations Division webpage or by calling (972) 292-6200.
